Nordstrom Mobile Website

Nordstrom came to Übermind in early 2011 to see if we could give them a fresh presence in the mobile web space. As the main designer on a small team of developers and UX designers, we took what was an outdated feature phone website and turned it into a fully functional, touch screen compatible website in a matter of months.

I worked closely with the front-end developers to make sure every aspect of my design was efficient enough to keep the load times down on slow mobile browsers, and worked closely with the brand team at Nordstrom to ensure that the look and feel of the site fit within the guidelines if their branded online experience. What resulted was the first smart phone friendly Nordstrom website ever and a huge jump in activity and sales, bringing their mobile web presence up to the standards of their desktop site and iOS apps.
